Three days of a special display and service will mark the 70^th anniversary of the return visit to Bath of Emperor Haile Selassie 1 of Ethiopia in 1954.

Items from the Abbey’s archive and also Fairfield House, home of the Emperor, will be on display inside the Abbey between Friday 18^th and Sunday 20^th October. Free with admission or a Discovery Card.

At the Evensong service on Sunday 20^th October, from 3.30 to 4.30, Princess Esther Sellassie Antohin will be present. The Princess is the Great Granddaughter of the Emperor of Ethiopia. All are welcome.
