Organ Recital: Huw Williams – Bath Abbey, Director of Music

We look forward to welcoming you for a wonderful evening of music performed by Huw Williams, our Director of Music, on our magnificent Klais organ.
As a recitalist Huw is highly regarded internationally and has played at prestigious venues around the world. He was principal organist at St Paul’s Cathedral for ten years, where he played for numerous high-profile and state occasions. During his time at St Paul’s he was awarded the Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and one of his solo organ recordings “Organ Spectacular” received the Gramophone Editor’s Choice award.

Keeping you safe

Please queue outside the Abbey from 5:10pm. Stewards will be at the entrance to take your details at the door and to guide people to their seats. Please remember masks must be worn inside the building.

We look forward to welcoming you and are taking every care to ensure a Covid secure Abbey:

  • We are limiting the number attending the event
  • Chairs will be spaced out accordingly to make sure each household is appropriately distanced
  • We will carry out cleaning before and after events
  • There will be controlled entry and queueing, and a one-way system in place
  • Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance
  • We will be taking everyone’s details for Test and Trace

  • Stay away if you show any symptoms associated with Covid-19
  • Please wear a face mask. (If have a problem wearing a face mask or have an exemption card or letter from your doctor, please show this to us on arrival.)
  • Use the hand sanitiser provided on arrival
  • Maintain a 2 metre distance between yourself and others
  • Provide your contact details to support NHS Test & Trace
  • Follow the one way systems in place
  • Follow all staff and volunteer instructions and signage in the Abbey
